Job Description We are seeking talented and team-oriented Memory Care Manager to join our Balfour – Littleton community where we offer senior living just a few miles away from historic downtown Littleton, CO. Schedule: Full Time Salary: $65,000-$80,000 (depending on relevant years of experience) The Memory Care Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the operations of the Heirloom Memory Care program. This role ensures delivery of compassionate, person-centered care that honors residents’ dignity, promotes independence, and enhances quality of life through the Art of Living Well® philosophy. The Memory Care Manager directs staff, facilitates daily programming, and ensures compliance with all clinical, operational, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Program Management Oversee day-to-day operations of the Memory Care neighborhood. Implement and sustain the Heirloom Memory Care and Art of Living Well® programs. Coordinate care with nursing, life enrichment, dining, and other department leaders. Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold all company policies and standards. Resident-Centered Care Promote engagement based on each resident’s history, interests, and preferences. Conduct care assessments and determine appropriateness for memory care setting. Monitor and respond to residents’ behavioral expressions using person-centered interventions. Ensure high standards of physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being. Staff Management & Development Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Memory Care staff. Lead regular associate meetings, training, and performance evaluations. Maintain staffing schedules and oversee daily care assignments. Foster a positive team culture and provide coaching and mentoring for staff. Family & Community Relations Act as liaison to families and provide support, communication, and education. Host family education sessions and support groups. Represent the community’s values and care philosophy in all external interactions. Operational Oversight Monitor departmental budget, labor, and supply use in coordination with leadership. Document care activities and collaborate with external care providers as needed. Participate in community safety initiatives and emergency response procedures. Qualifications Education & Experience Degree or certification in health services, social services, recreational therapy, or a related field. Minimum 1–3 years of experience working with seniors, particularly those with dementia. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications State-specific license or certification (if applicable). CPR certification required. Dementia care or therapeutic recreation certification preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and compassion. Familiarity with dementia-related care practices and activity programming. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other care management software.
