JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while assisting with their treatment plans. You will work closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital or clinical setting, focusing on patient care and data collection to facilitate effective case management.

SKILLS

• Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
• Familiarity with case management processes and documentation practices.
• Background in special education or experience working with children is advantageous.
• Ability to conduct research related to mental health practices and interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Monitor and observe patients, documenting their behavior and progress accurately.
• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed professionals.
• Provide direct patient care, including support during activities of daily living.
• Engage with children and adolescents to promote therapeutic activities and interventions.
• Collect and maintain accurate data related to patient behaviors and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
