Job Details Job Location: Compass BH Ulysses Outpatient Building - Ulysses, KS Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School/GED Salary Range: $17.00 - $21.64 Job Shift: Day Description Mental Health Assistant Work Location: Ulysses Work hours: Monday - Friday Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be familiar with community resources. Staff member shall possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with the mentally ill and respond effectively in a wide variety of human service situations. Applicant must possess an interest and investment in working with children who experience Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). Also have the ability to work as a member of a treatment team in providing a continuum of services to consumers and their families. The MHA will deliver attendant care, respite care, psychosocial rehabilitation and independent living skills to consumers as directed by supervisor. Also, will provide direct one-on-one supervision of consumers and work directly from the Treatment Plan to help them learn independent living skills, complete specific goals, or help stabilize them in crisis situations to avoid out of home placement. The Mental Health Assistant will demonstrate flexibility in being available to work as client need arises. Qualifications Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old Have a high school diploma or equivalent Be familiar with community resources.
Responsibilities
The Mental Health Assistant will deliver attendant care, respite care, psychosocial rehabilitation, and independent living skills to consumers as directed by the supervisor.
