We are seeking an experienced billing assistant to join our dedicated billing department. We are a small business with a friendly, professional atmosphere. Our billing specialist works closely with our billing manager to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate billing for our practice. Our Ideal Applicant... Has an AA or certification in medical billing with a proven track record of relevant experience in mental health or medical billing. Is organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in their work. Is a problem solver, reliable, determined, and has a strong work ethic. Is Proficient with computers Knows HIPAA and adheres to legal and confidentiality guidelines for working with PHI. Has worked in TherapyNotes, Simple Practice, or another EHR program. Easy to work with and who accepts correction, training, and feedback well. Maintains high integrity and professionalism Desires to grow with us for a longer-term career! Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Collect clients' insurance information for billing purposes. Reviewing and submitting insurance claims. Posting insurance payments and ensuring the accuracy of client account information. Updating client records with new transactions and details. Processing client payments and addressing any discrepancies. Directly interact with clients to address any inquiries they may have about their accounts and provide statements or payment details when needed. Investigate and resolve billing issues by communicating with insurance companies or clients. Upholds our organization's values and adheres to CMCS policies and procedures. Assist with internal projects as assigned. 1). Has an AA or certification in medical billing with a proven track record of relevant experience in mental health or medical billing. 2). Our physical locations are Washington State and operate in the Pacific Standard Time zone (PST). You must be available to work a schedule between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. (PST).
