Your Opportunity:
The Rural Addiction and Mental Health Community Team is looking for a trained, skilled, enthusiastic, and dynamic team member to fill a fulltime, permanent, Mental Health Clinician position for Fort Macleod AMH clinic. This is a generalist Mental Health Clinician position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a continuum of services, including behavioural health care and shared care services. The MHC will deliver evidence-based treatment services, including screening, assessment, treatment planning, harm reduction, case management and therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings, for children, youth and adults. The successful candidate will work from a concurrent capable framework and should be able to provide a wide variety of evidence-informed treatment modalities to individuals with mental health and addiction issues. This is an advanced clinical role required to perform the restricted activity of Psychosocial Interventions. The Mental Health Clinician will maintain accurate and appropriate documentation on client files in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with allied professionals and community agencies to provide a seamless service to clients. As this position is based in a rural setting, the successful candidate must be able to function extremely well both independently and interdependently as they will work within a small office of highly dedicated individuals, as well as within the larger Rural AMH Team. This position reports to the Manager of the Rural Addiction and Mental Health Community Team. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. Description:
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team collaborating on the delivery of care for the needs of individuals, families and/or communities. You will be responsible for the intake, clinical interviews, and screening of clients with addiction and mental health disorders. You will liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with other team members as required. You may have the opportunity to participate in program planning, development and to provide supervision to practicum students. This position is open to Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychologists, and Registered Occupational Therapists.
