About the Role We are looking for compassionate and motivated Community Support Workers to join the Community Living Support Program (CLS) . In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred, recovery-oriented support to people living with mental health conditions, working across home and community settings. You will play a vital role in helping people build independence, develop life skills, and stay connected to their community. Key Details - Multiple roles FT & PPT - Tweed Heads - SCHADS award level 3 Responsibilities Support Delivery - Deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented support in line with the CLS model - Support customers with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, and social connection - Assist with appointments, activities, and access to community services - Maintain an active caseload and meet support delivery targets Customer Focused Practice - Tailor support to individual goals and recovery journeys - Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices - Build trust while maintaining professional boundaries Collaboration & Engagement - Work closely with clinical teams, families, and community organisations - Contribute to team meetings, supervision, and service improvement initiatives - Support customer feedback and co-design opportunities - Engage in reflective practice and regular supervision to support safe and effective work. Compliance & Safety - Follow all policies, WHS, and risk management procedures - Report incidents and maintain accurate documentation About You You are a compassionate, resilient, and proactive professional who is genuinely committed to supporting people on their mental health recovery journey. You understand that recovery is not linear and approach your work with patience, adaptability, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. You Will Bring - Proven ability to support people with daily living skills, emotional regulation, and community participation. - Ability to build strong, respectful relationships - Confidence to work independently in community settings while managing an active caseload. - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet performance targets. - Commitment to continuous learning, supervision, and reflective practice. - Ability to navigate complex customer needs and behaviours using safe, person-centred approaches. - Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environments. Essential Requirements - Certificate IV in Mental Health or Peer Work or relevant industry experience - Minimum 12 months experience in a CLS program or similar program - Strong understanding of recovery-oriented, person-centred practice - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of trauma-informed care and cultural competency - Confidence using Microsoft Office and reporting systems Eligibility - Australian citizenship or permanent residency with full work rights is required. - NSW Driver’s Licence - Working with Children Check - National Police Check (within 3 months) - NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module - Physical capability to meet the requirements of the role, including lifting up to 10kg.
