Responsibilities

The Mental Health Connector will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals accessing mental health support at the primary care level, as well as assisting individuals transitioning out of secondary mental health care. This role focuses on addressing the social catalysts of poor mental health, such as debt, housing issues, domestic violence, substance use, homelessness, isolation, relationship breakdowns, unemployment, and other social crises.
You will be part of a team of nine Connectors across three organisations, alongside two Senior Connectors and one Service Manager employed by Birmingham Mind. You will work closely with individuals facing mental health challenges driven by environmental and social crises, such as debt, financial hardship, housing difficulties, and social isolation. Your support will help individuals manage and overcome these barriers, fostering positive mental health and overall well-being.
