Description
Overview Provides counseling and support services to students in a primary or secondary school setting. Provides mental health consultation services to build the capacity of those caring for young children. Partners with early care and education providers and families to address the social/behavioral/mental health needs of children and families. Works with a focus on providing early intervention and prevention services to improve emotional well-being, coping skills, general adaptive functioning, and social competence of children and families. Acts in accordance with department mission, philosophy, and goals. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS · Master’s degree. · 2 or more years of experience. COMPETENCIES · Ability to work as part of a team. · Problem management. · Oral and written communication skills. · Ability to build collaborative relationships. · Problem/Situation Analysis. · Interpersonal skills. · Planning skills. · Ability to multi-task and prioritize. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS · Must possess and maintain current license to practice in the state of Oklahoma. License must be in one of the following areas: Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT). · Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain throughout employment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
