Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Mental Health Consultant, you will join GB’s Mental Health Hub, our in-house team of skilled mental health experts, to work alongside our wider claims team with a view to provide expert support in the way Mental Injury claims are managed.
In this fantastically diverse role, you will engage with GB’s claims staff to provide coaching, mentoring and intervention for complex Mental Injury Claims. You’ll also provide tailored expertise to Employers relating to improving and supporting a Mentally Healthy workplace for their workers and reduce the risk and impact of Mental injury in their workplace.How you’ll make an impact:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Implementing Gallagher Bassett’s Return to Work (RTW) Strategy for mental injury claims
- Analysing mental injury trends to identify risks, and implementing a strategy for continuous improvement of the way that mental health claims are treated
- Identifying skill and knowledge gaps in Mental Injury Claims Management service provision, and working with our claims leaders to develop strategies and processes to ensure services meet business, client and WorkSafe requirements
- Facilitating face-to-face meetings with all claim stakeholders (treating health practitioners, injured workers and employers), with the aim of achieving a safe and sustainable return to work
- Monitoring and assisting with daily activities surrounding mental injury claims management utilizing WorkSafe’s claims management systems to undertake various administrative duties
- Working with Case Managers and Mental Injury RTW Specialists to provide both support and education in relation to managing complex mental injury cases
- Identifying and working with clients who require assistance with mental injury claims by liaising with the Account Management team, and assisting with training and development for these clients
- Acting as the key Agent contact for WorkSafe for mental injury
- Establishing and monitoring compliance and quality reviews of Mental Injury Mobile Return to Work interventions
