Responsibilities Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling sessions addressing a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction. Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments and court evaluations in accordance with Florida state requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client. Offer parenting support and address school-related issues affecting children and families. Collaborate with clients to manage work, career, and stress-related concerns through therapeutic interventions. Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in professional development activities and stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field. Current and valid Mental Health Counselor license in the state of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent). Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Knowledge and experience in substance abuse treatment, including conducting assessments and court evaluations. Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities addressing depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, and stress management. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with a client-centered approach. Ability to maintain confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries in a private practice setting.
