Job Description: The Community Connections Mental Health Court Program serves as a voluntary alternative to the traditional adult criminal justice system. Candidates must be comfortable providing clinical diagnostic assessment, coordination, & case management services to individuals involved in the legal system. Duties include comprehensive psycho-social evaluations, diagnosis & appropriate dispositions of client, as well as structured therapeutic interventions tailored to the program. May be requested to take part in consultations, education activities, speakers bureau, presentations, supervision of employees toward licensure, and will be expected to take part in Quality Improvement activities. Attend disposition meeting with intake treatment team to determine diagnoses. Provide some interim counseling/case management to clients as they await assignment to treatment team. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Provide coordination, structured therapy interventions, and case management services to individuals with mental health needs who are involved in the criminal justice system Coordination with Manchester District and Superior court, attorneys, and jail staff Completion of comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to determine diagnosis and disposition for mental health services Therapy and case management services for those individuals enrolled in the program/awaiting assignment to treatment team May be requested to take part in consultations, education activities, speakers bureaus, and community presentations Provide group therapy for individuals involved in CCP On-going collaboration with stakeholders, such as City Solicitors office, Public Defenders office, Prosecutors office, local police departments, etc. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Fundamental computer experience to process e-mails and electronic clinical records. Knowledge in CBT, CPT, and DBT preferred. Excellent communication and documentation skills are needed. Experience in assessments and knowledge of DSM 5-TR preferred. Candidate needs to have comfort with public speaking. Experience: At least 1 year in the field is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance Education: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field (i.e., criminal justice).
