DESCRIPTION
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit a mental health nurse - to join the team on Fern ward - specialist female inpatient service. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.
Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

As a mental health nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

The role requires a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completion of a preceptorship program. Candidates should have knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional practices, along with evidence of continuing professional development post-registration. A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality are essential, as is the ability to develop and apply flexible and innovative approaches to practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. Experience includes a minimum of 6 months post-registration within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, with demonstrated ongoing professional development in the relevant field.
