Description

The ARMHS Practitioner will provide adult rehabilitative mental health services that improve psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness. The service areas would include: interpersonal communication skills, community resource utilization, and integration skills, crisis assistance, relapse prevention skills, budgeting and shopping skills, healthy lifestyle skills and practices, cooking and nutrition skills, transportation skills, medication education and monitoring, mental illness symptom management skills, household management skills, employment-related skills, and transition to community living services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 2000 hours of verifiable work experience providing services and support to individuals with Mental Illness, Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.
  • Or, Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university
  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance

Responsibilities
  • Provide skills training, assessment and monitoring in the areas identified in the client’s Diagnostic Assessment and Functional Assessment.
  • Creating, Reviewing and updating of Treatment Plans and Functional Assessments in a timely manner.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings/Training.
  • Maintain consistent Continuing Education Training as required (CEUs)
  • Maintain minimum billable hours weekly (part-time: 20-25hrs/wk, Full time: 35-40hrs/wk).
  • Communicates changes in service needs and recommendations to Clinical Supervisor/Mental Health Professional and Treatment Director on an ongoing basis to provide essential care.
  • Complete all paperwork, reports, and documentation in a consistently organized manner.
