Horowitz Health is expanding and we want you to be a part of this growth! Joining our family of organizations, is a 24/7 intensive residential treatment services (IRTS) center called The Landing. Located in Saint Paul, The Landing will support a client’s behavioral health, mental health, and other skills that will help them transition to a more independent setting.
We are seeking motivated, hardworking, and dedicated Mental Health Practitioners to support the clients with skills, offering client education, rehabilitative mental health services, functional assessments, level of care (LOC) assessments, and treatment plans to adult patients under the treatment supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
Location: Saint Paul, MN
Schedule: We are looking for Full-Time salaried staff! The Mental Health Practitioners will be scheduled to work during typical business hours but may be expected to work outside of these hours if scheduled. The exact schedule will be determined during the interview process and may include weekends.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must Meet One of the Following Qualification Criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or related field and 2000 hours verified through EVRAforms
  • Proof of a practicum or internship requiring direct interaction with adults and focusing on MI, DD, ID, or TBI

OR

  • High school diploma and:
  • 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with Mental Illness (MI), Developmental Disability (DD), Intellectual Disability (ID), or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

OR

  • Have completed 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits in behavioral science or a related field and:
  • Proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields

Responsibilities
  • Conduct education sessions with clients to help them understand their mental health conditions and available resources to them.
  • Provide rehabilitative mental health services aimed at enhancing the clients’ independent living skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Perform comprehensive functional assessments (FAs) to determine clients’ needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct LOCUS assessments to determine appropriate treatment settings.
  • Monitor and evaluate assisted clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to ITPs as needed.
  • Offer skill-building services to clients, under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional focusing on personal development and coping strategies.
  • Under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional, perform crisis assessments and interventions for clients experiencing acute mental health crises, if needed
  • Provide direction to Mental Health Rehabilitation Workers and Mental Health Behavioral Aides to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other Mental Health Practitioners and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
