Location: Varies (Bell Building, Main Office, Perpich, Mobile Responding)
Status: PT, FT, Casual, Intern
Shifts: Day Shift (Afternoons and On-Call as required)
Pay Band/Wage Range: $20.00 - $29.00 BOE

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mobile Crisis Practitioner is responsible for direct client service in a 24/7 rotation in the Range Mental Health Center mobile crisis program, providing highly effective crisis intervention and support services in full alignment with our mission to be the Provider of Choice for the people we serve.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- A philosophical approach consistent with Range Mental Health Center
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to meet demands in a fluid and changing environment
- Sufficient command of the English language to be able to effectively communicate in writing with co-workers, the people we support and outside parties via paper and electronic means
- Sufficient command of the English language to be able to effectively communicate verbally with co-workers, the people we support, and outside parties in person and via telephone
- Ability to be flexible, to work as a team member, and to interact effectively with the people we support, staff and other professionals
- Good understanding of local and state mental health systems
- Strong time management ability
- Ability to handle significant daily stress
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner as defined by the Minnesota Dept of Human Services. (4-year human service degree plus 2000 hours supervised mental health experience, or a master’s degree in human services, or 4,000 hours supervised mental health experience)
- A mental health practitioner for a child must have training working with children.
- A mental health practitioner for an adult member must have training working with adults
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Adequate level of vision to use computer terminal.
- Sufficient hearing to accurately record information received verbally.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to maintain a Minnesota driver’s license and auto insurance
