Description

ABOUT KANTOKO

Kantoko is a fast-moving healthtech startup making adult ADHD care radically more accessible across Australia. We combine purpose-built software with a collaborative care model to deliver high quality mental health support (without the expensive medical bills or waitlists). We’re building a new standard of care that’s accessible, scalable and designed around people’s lives.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we’re looking for a passionate Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team full-time as the founding nurse hire for the team.
If you’re a registered nurse looking to transition into a meaningful career with a small and hardworking startup team working on patient-centred mental health care, we’d love to hear from you.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse (nurse practitioner applications also welcome)
  • Strong triage and patient communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to safety and compliance
  • Strong passion for ADHD and mental health care, particularly in improving accessibility to care and optimising care pathways
  • Curiosity or interest working in a startup - autonomous, resourceful, tech-driven and adaptable
  • Tech-savvy - some experience or familiarity with tools is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - moving between interactions with patients, clinicians and operations team members
  • A down to earth personality who’s ready to learn and grow with our team in the long term
  • Values-driven - we’re looking for someone aligned with our team values of putting the patient first, doing things right and prioritising with purpose.

WHY WORK AT KANTOKO?

  • Founding nurse hire - you’ll be our first nurse team member, work closely with the Head of Operations, Practice Manager and broader clinical team as the role grows.
  • Work that matters - each day you show up, you’ll see how your work changes people’s everyday lives.
  • Long Term Career - we’re looking for someone intentionally seeking an intentional career step in ADHD/mental health. We believe in investing in our team members!
  • ESOP from Day 1 - you’ll share in the upside of what we’re building.
  • Bring your whole self to work - one of our team values is to Embrace the Purple. We’re building a workplace where neurodivergent minds, queer individuals and all kinds of humans are not only safe, but empowered to do their best work.
  • Flexibility - it’s a hybrid role in Sydney, with 3 days a week in our CBD office (5min walk from Wynyard). Depending on your hours, we want you to be in the office at least 1 day a week.
If this job description resonates with you, please do submit an application with your CV and cover letter. We read every single application!
