This includes Clubhouses in Manhattan, the Bronx, Hollywood California, Harlem NY, and Care Management, Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment Services, and a large housing program ranging from 24-hour supervised residences to scattered site supported apartments. The Gallery Social Practitioner provides social practice to members that participate in Gallery and Studio programs at Fountain House. They ensure that the Gallery and Studio are effective Transitional Environments that serve a rehabilitative function for members’ recovery. They provide support to the rest of the gallery team specifically around member interactions and organizing member opportunities for meaningful engagement in the Gallery and Studio. Hours: Tuesday to Friday: 10am to 6pm Saturday: 11am to 7pm Regular travel between Hell's Kitchen & LIC 1-2 days per week based in LIC. $30.58 per hour Visit our website Check out our Instagram Requirements Duties and Responsibilities Provide Transitional Environment that aids recovery of members. Connect Members to the clubhouse units and navigate them to direct services provided by the clubhouse and other FH programs. Coordinate scheduling of member volunteers, sending out meeting agenda and notes, organizing information for the member artists. Organize tasks and forums that members can participate in following clubhouse Standards and Fountain House best practices. Participate and support holiday events at the clubhouse. Assists the Gallery Program Director and Gallery assistant with tasks related to Gallery and Studio. Provide social practice interventions for members utilizing the Gallery and Studio. Create therapeutic relationships with members. Performs other duties as assigned by the Gallery program Director. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Comfort working in a mental health setting, supporting member artists. Ability to use Outlook, Access, Excel, Slack, ARTSY.com and other office computer software. Ability to work as part of a diverse team of staff and volunteer members. Ability to effectively work with little supervision. Interest in the creative arts. Engaging personality. Creative thinker. REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS: Social work, mental health worker, art therapy, psychology or peer experience preferred. Experience working in a clubhouse or similar setting preferred. Gallery and/or art experience preferred. College Degree required or equivalent work experience. Ability to work some evenings, when needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. · Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
