Description

Welcome to Avondalecare residential care home, a local experienced care service supporting people living with mental health, learning difficulties and a range of care needs where personal care support is required. We do not offer nursing care.
When our residents struggle with their mental health they require counsel support from you, they require a genuinely kind and compassionate person to listen to their struggles and find solutions and help with creative coping strategies.
Do you have knowledge and life experience or work experience that enables you to believe that this role is right for you?
Do your friends and family ever say ‘you’ll be really good working in care’? I’d like to meet you and talk more about the opportunities we have. Lots of responsibilities in our service can be met with the use of transferrable skills from other positions you may have held in your past employment.
The job description will give you a good idea, but its always helpful to discuss the role in more detail. If you are applying for a change in career path it’s always a good idea to know what change your looking for. Your interview will be much more about the career path you are looking to embark upon, why you are making changes or looking to work in social care and what qualities and skill set can you bring to the team.
