Description

SHIFT PATTERN: FULL TIME WAKING NIGHTS - 20:00PM - 8:00AM.

Are you calm, resilient, and a strong role model?
We’re looking for upbeat, engaging support workers to join a mixed-gender team working with a young person on a 2:1 basis with mild learning disabilities, schizophrenic personality disorder, ADHD, mental health needs and physically challenging behaviours in their own home in Chesterfield. They enjoy taking time out to go camping in the woods, are into fitness, love music and going out to local pubs.
You will provide support with daily living tasks as needed, while promoting their independence. This includes assisting with financial management, as all spending must be requested through the team and this is a process that can be challenging for them. You will also play a key role in supporting their mental health needs and responding appropriately to any challenging behaviours that may arise.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Working with people with mental health diagnoses, especially personality disorders
  • Supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • Experience in guiding someone with risky or impulsive behaviours
