Description

We are currently seeking full-time Mental Health Support Workers who hold a valid 3-day PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) certificate.
You will play a key role in supporting individuals with mental health needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and overall well-being within healthcare settings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-day PMVA training (mandatory and in-date)
  • Previous experience working in mental health or care settings (preferred)
  • Full-time availability – able to work 12-hour day or night shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, resilient, and confident in managing challenging situations
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)
Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and emotional support to individuals with mental health conditions
  • Use PMVA techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely and professionally
  • Support service users with daily living tasks including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility
  • Promote independence and social inclusion by encouraging service users to engage in daily routines and activities
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other professionals to implement care plans
  • Accurately record observations, incidents, and progress in care documentation
  • Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety policies at all times
