Justteachers are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at an SEMH school in Ely starting in September2025. This role involves supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to promote student progress.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
