OVERVIEW:

Caritas Care Solutions is a local nonprofit behavioral health organization dedicated to providing residential treatment to youth who are displaced in the foster care system. Our mission is to create a home-like atmosphere where youth can thrive. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to provide direct support to youth experiencing behavioral health challenges.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of clinical staff, the Mental Health Technician will provide direct care and assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, and assisting with activities of daily living while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct care experience in a behavioral health or related environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in mental health, chemical dependency and/or substance abuse treatment.
• Experience with medication assistance.
• Prior experience or a desire to gain experience in the mental health field.
