Mental Health Technician II- Cottonwood Care Home Work hours of this position are 7am-7pm (Week 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Week 2 Monday, Thursday and Friday) This is a full time position located in Ashford, Alabama. **SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS & HOLIDAY PREMIUMS AVAILABLE**   Duties of this position include: * Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.  * Teaching group and individual basic living skills * Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program * Ensure efficient operation of the facility * Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision * Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system Requirements: * HS Diploma/GED * Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age). * Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen * Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire * Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment Benefits: * Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Health and Dental Insurance * Paid Holidays * Paid Time Off- vacation, personal, sick  * Company paid life insurance * AD&D and dependent life insurance * State Retirement Option Available
Responsibilities
The Mental Health Technician will assist consumers with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, facility maintenance, and medication assistance. They are also responsible for teaching basic living skills and providing transportation for program participants.
