ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification: Tertiary qualifications as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker
Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist; Eligible for membership of AASW for Social Workers

Responsibilities

Join Western Sydney LHD Mental Health Services and be the vital first contact for those seeking mental health support via the NSW Mental Health Telephone Access Line. Help guide callers to the right care and improve access to essential services. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting mental health triage and risk assessments by phone
  • Providing advice, support, and referrals to suitable services
  • Assisting carers and liaise with internal and external providers
  • Initiating emergency responses for high-risk presentations
  • Supporting service quality, safety, and person-centred care
