Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the area manager and the clinical supervisor, this position entails providing assessment, diagnosis, case management and treatment by way of mental health therapy to clients of all ages. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to perform the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention utilizing a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed treatment, crisis intervention, consultation, and case management. The position works with children and adults, community agencies, other members of the mental health and addictions team as well as the multidisciplinary team at large. The Mental Health Therapist will also be involved in case conferences, staff meetings, professional development activities, liaison with community partners, provide support with students and new staff orientation and other related duties as required. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
