Responsibilities:

• Provide counselling, hypnotherapy and/or other services to individuals, couples, families and/or groups, in-person and/or online.
• Develop and/or facilitate programs related to your area of specialty.
• Maintain client records as per your professional college guidelines.
• Participate in regular professional development opportunities to stay current in your field.
• Maintain professional registration and personal liability insurance.
• May work from home doing online and/or telephone sessions if desired.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to work at least one evening per week until up to 8:00pm and/or one or two Saturdays per month as needed.

Requirements:

• Hiring Registered Social Workers (MSW) preferred; or other licensed mental health professionals such as Psychometrists, Psychotherapists, and/or Psychologists for part time work increasing to full time.
• 5+ years of counselling experience is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with hypnotherapy certification*, EMDR and/or IFS certification, as well as experience with couples counselling and working with children and teens.
• Experience working with families and group facilitation is an asset.
• Must be available to work a minimum of ten hours per week to start.
• Hybrid position: Meet with clients in our Thunder Bay office, with the option of working from home when doing online and/or telephone sessions. This position is not suitable for working only virtually.

*The next Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist training program by Healing Minds Academy (Division of Amethyst Wellness Group Inc.) begins in Fall 2025. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in this training free of charge.
