Maltby Centre is a registered charity and not-for-profit agency established in 1996 and funded in part by the Ontario government.  Through the work of our dedicated staff, Maltby Centre creates possibilities for change in young lives.    Position Details  * Working as a Mental Health Therapist, you will provide assessment and case management services to children,youthand their families to address mental health issues that are negativelyimpactingon their social, emotional, and/or behavioural functioning at home, in school and/or in the community.   * Within their scope of practice, the incumbent provides supports and interventionsutilizingevidence-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approaches and clinical practices.   * Provides individual and program consultation to community programs serving children and youth.  * Provide triage and intervention to children,youthand families, as well as clinicalexpertisearound delivery of effective brief mental health services.   * Role may provide therapeutic support of Nexus Classroom Programs and the clients/caregivers involved.   * This position supports our walk-inservices,intake appointments and the One Stop Talk initiative.    Benefits  * Located in beautiful Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington Counties in Ontario  * HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) and percentage in lieu of benefits  * Flexible Hours      Qualifications  * Bachelor of Social Work orotherrelated undergraduate program,Master’s Degreepreferred.   * Must hold current, unrestricted registration with a regulatory college to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy (e.g. CRPO, OCSWSSW, CNO, COTO) anddeemedcompetent to perform psychotherapyin accordance withthe relevant college’s practice guidelines and/or standards isrequired.   * Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children and youth with mental health difficulties that affect their functioning at home, school or the community, formal training in family and individual counselling with children and youth andutilizationof a variety of therapeutic approaches and clinical practices.  *  Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NCVI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) & French and Arabic Languageproficiency, written and verbal, are assets.  * Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (FA/CPR), Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NCVI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) & French Languageproficiency, written and verbal, are assets.    Maltby Centre is committed to principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and recognizes the value that diverse employees bring to the programs and services offered to children and youth in our community.
