Description Position At a Glance Job Title: Mental Health Therapist Department: Mental Health Supervisory Chain of Command: Direct Supervisor: Mental Health Supervisor Secondary Supervisor: Director of Therapy Chief-Level Supervisor: Chief Clinical Officer Supervises: Mental Health Intern (when applicable) Provides trauma-informed, evidence-based individual, group and family therapy treatment to assist clients in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life and making changes. Compensation Salary Level $30.29 Hourly/$63,000.00 Annual/$10,000.00 Maximum Annual Incentive Responsibilities and Qualifications Essential Responsibilities: 1. Provide mental health therapy services to a wide variety of client systems in an outpatient setting, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. 2. Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy services to individuals, families, and groups. 3. Collaborate with other treatment team members, natural supports, and external providers to ensure a wrap-around approach is provided for continuity of client care. 4. Create and maintain person-centered treatment plans based on clients’ unique needs. 5. Monitor client progress through ongoing assessment 6. Demonstrate sensitivity to all cultural and ethnic differences. 7. Complete agency trainings up to and including certification in evidenced based treatment models. 8. Meet administrative and clinical documentation requirements both in terms of content and timeliness. 9. Meet direct service expectations in terms and comply with other established productivity standards as established. 10. Provide psycho-educational services to the community as assigned by Supervisor or Director. 11. Provide clinical supervision toward independent licensing to staff as qualified by licensing and as assigned. 12. Maintain advanced knowledge and skills related to field of work through continuing education per state licensure requirements. 13. Provide client care for a minimum of three hours outside the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. 14. Perform all other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel. Requirements Qualifications: Required: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or related field Current, active, unincumbered license as an LPC, LMFT, LMLP, or LMSW (a temporary license will be considered eligible) Strong interpersonal skills Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment in routine, urgent, and emergent clinical situations Ability to provide therapy to youth and adults across the lifespan Ability and desire to work as part of a clinical team while also able to be self-directed and motivated with minimal supervision Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks Ability to acquire and effectively practice new clinical skills as needed according to evolving agency needs/services Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite All employees will be required to submit to and pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred: 1. Independent clinical license (LCPC, LCMFT, LP, LSCSW) and/or participate in clinical supervision in accordance with a supervision plan established with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB). 2. Experience/training in TF-CBT, ABFT, or other evidenced based practice 3. 1 year experience providing group therapy
