Description Description SGA provides a wide range of social services in some of Chicago's most challenged and consistently underserved communities and creates long-term and community-wide change. Key Areas of Responsibility: Tailor educational content to meet the needs of various audiences, including practitioners, law enforcement, and the public. Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and informational sessions in Cook County Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes. Implement other projects, activities, or job duties as assigned Collaborates with the Program Manager to provide community engagement services Ensures productivity requirements and manages all agency expectations for case recording, statistical, and other routine forms, on a timely basis Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to ensure grant compliance and positive outcomes for clients Requirements Education: Associate’s degree in social work, early childhood education, related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. Experience: Experience working with teens and young adults, preferred. Must display Cross-cultural sensitivity and have bilingual skills to serve target population best if necessary Knowledge of adolescent learning styles and ability to engage high-risk youths and their families Experience working with individuals dealing with factors that put them at-risk of becoming victims of aggressive behavior. Experience working one on one with youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups. Must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time. Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs. At times may be required to lift to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and event's needs. Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
