JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a full-time MEP Construction Field Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a representative of the firm to represent owner’s interests in projects and contractor’s adherence to project documents.
Ideal candidate will understand the process and phasing of commercial construction from design development through project closeout. Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of MEP experience and must be well organized and self-motivated. Candidate must also be able to read, interpret, and understand project drawings and specifications. Applicant must have a valid US driver license. Candidate must also have basic computer knowledge and be proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review design documents for constructability.
- Attend Pre-bid walkthroughs, attend public bid openings.
- Attend construction progress meetings and perform site visits for multiple projects running simultaneously.
- Perform site visits for any issues that arise during construction. Provide field inspection report(s) outlining the issue and resolution.
- Verify the work performed is in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Provide above ceiling inspections and reports.
- Provide punch list inspection and reports.
- Interact and coordinate with project stakeholders in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.
- Review application for payments, contractor change proposals, inspection reports, and RFI’s.
- Assist designer with RFI responses including performing field work, hand sketches, and photographs as needed.
- Visits may contain accessing work in boiler rooms, basements, crawl spaces, service tunnels, attics, and roofs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED< or Certification from a Trade School.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years MEP Experience (Design, Construction or Administration).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
