JOB SUMMARY:
The MEP Coordinator is responsible for managing all components of construction project related to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Low Voltage, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Balancing, and BMS/BAS Controls. Thoroughly understands the MEPF designs through review of Basis of Design, Drawings (plans), specifications and applicable code requirements. Understands the design intent of Architectural Design Documents including interfaces with Architectural, Structural, and Civil Design Consultants and trade partners. Reviews contract documents and makes suggestions/modifications as they relate to MEPF trades. The MEP Coordinator combines a wide technical knowledge of these fields with the management skills necessary to coordinate the work of a variety of different employees both within the office and field environments.
SALARY RANGE: $140,000 - $175,000 annually (companywide)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent education desired.
- Minimum 5 years of experience directly managing the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Low Voltage, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Test & Balance, BMS/BAS Controls trades, preferably within BNBs core markets.
- General understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes and Plumbing Codes as they relate to construction projects.
- Has strong grasp of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Low Voltage, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Test & Balance, BMS/BAS Controls design and construction concepts.
- Ability to manage MEPF Design & Coordination using 3D software tools and BIM processes.
- Proficient and efficient in managing all components of construction project tasks relating to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Ability to run complex meetings with owners, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge of local professionals and firms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Self-motivated with high degree of ethics and integrity.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Honest, objective speaker and attentive listener with the ability to accept constructive criticism.

Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
