Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description Role Summary As a Cost Manager for Data Centre Projects with an MEP focus, you will support the full range of cost management activities across data‑centre developments. This includes cost planning, tendering, procurement support, and post‑contract cost control. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure the project remains on budget and progresses smoothly. Key Responsibilities Project Support & Coordination Demonstrate good knowledge of pre‑contract and post‑contract cost management processes. Support estimating, cost planning, and rate analysis—including helping prepare and present cost plans to clients. Assist with tendering and procurement activities such as preparing tender documents, reviewing bids, conducting tender analysis, and compiling contract documentation. Manage post‑contract cost variances and help coordinate change control activities, escalating major changes as needed. Work effectively across data‑centre project scopes that involve significant building services (MEP) packages. Governance & Reporting Prepare monthly post‑contract cost reports and assist in presenting them to clients. Contribute to value engineering discussions to identify cost‑efficient solutions. Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout each project stage. Recommend improvements to templates, processes, or tools within the cost management function. Ensure knowledge sharing by uploading key learnings, benchmarking data, and insights to internal databases. Collaborate as an effective team member and support Assistant Cost Managers where applicable. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage. Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost management or construction roles, with exposure to data centre, industrial, or MEP‑heavy projects preferred. Solid understanding of cost management principles and quantity surveying methodologies. Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Business‑level proficiency and native proficiency in English. Proficiency in CostX or equivalent cost estimation software. Additional Information Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
