JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer/Draughtsman to join our interiors and fitouts team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate MEP drawings, coordinating with design and site teams, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting smooth execution of fitout projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in MEP drafting within interiors/fitouts industry in UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with MEP authority approval procedures (DEWA, Civil Defense, DCD, teecom etc.).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate complex drawings.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with designers, consultants, and site teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for interior and fitout projects.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and interior drawings to resolve design clashes.
  • Prepare load schedules, single line diagrams, and schematics for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting systems.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with local authorities’ regulations (Dubai Municipality, DDA, DM, Civil Defense, DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, etc.).
  • Review consultant/authority drawings and incorporate comments.
  • Assist project/site teams in design coordination and installation sequencing.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for MEP materials based on approved drawings.
  • Attend site inspections and meetings to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a proper filing system for drawings and revisions.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants for MEP-related clarifications.
