Requisition ID:27402     Job Country:    Egypt (EG)    Job City:          Cairo      Group Overview:   Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, we operate construction and manufacturing businesses, design & development centers and a host of facilities in the Middle East and other countries.    alfanar Building Systems    alfanar Construction is classified as a Grade I contractor by the Contractors Classification Committee of the Government of Saudi Arabia.   alfanar Building Systems manufactures and markets a variety of building construction products and systems. .    The core manufacturing activities of the industries operating under alfanar Building Systems are:    • Real estate development    • Façade cladding, glazing systems and architectural aluminum products    • Precast concrete products and architectural elementsJob Purpose To manage and execute the procurement of construction-related materials, equipment, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner, while ensuring alignment with project requirements, company standards, and contractual obligations.   Key Accountability Areas Review technical specifications, BOQs, and drawings to identify material requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects. Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors based on price, quality, delivery time, and compliance with project requirements. Prepare RFQs, analyze quotations, and negotiate commercial and technical terms with suppliers. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy of terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align material deliveries with project schedules. Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or documentation. Maintain vendor records, and all procurement-related documentation. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, project-specific requirements, and local/international procurement regulations. Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure long-term value and reliability. Identify cost-saving opportunities, suggest alternate materials or sources, and support value engineering initiatives. Role Accountability Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience in construction or contracting companies. Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, and project cycles. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in procurement software (ERP systems such as SAP, etc.). Knowledge of local and international markets and vendors. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
