A MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering aspects of MEP projects within the construction industry. Their role involves collaborating with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects. Project Planning and Design:
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements, objectives, and design specifications.
Assist in the development of MEP project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze the potential impact of MEP systems on the overall project design.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Engineering Coordination:
Coordinate with various engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, to ensure integrated and efficient MEP systems.
Review and evaluate MEP designs, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to select appropriate MEP equipment, materials, and systems.
Perform technical analysis and calculations to support the design and installation of MEP systems.
Project Management and Execution:
Oversee the implementation and installation of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor MEP system installations and identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
Manage MEP subcontracts, including contract negotiations, scope of work, change orders, and progress payments.
Resolve technical issues and provide technical guidance and support to project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
Quality Assurance and Documentation:
Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure MEP systems meet design specifications and industry standards.
Review and approve shop drawings, equipment submittals, and material samples.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, as-built drawings, and project reports.
Conduct MEP system commissioning and performance testing to ensure functionality, efficiency, and compliance.
Communication and Collaboration:
Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
Participate in project meetings, provide progress updates, and address any technical concerns or challenges.
Provide technical support and guidance to project stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, regulations, and emerging technologies related to MEP systems.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.Professional engineering license or certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
