The Quality Assurance MEP Coordinator will oversee and ensure the quality of MEP systems in the LRT project. This role involves inspecting installations, testing systems for compliance with industry standards, and ensuring that all MEP systems function efficiently and effectively.
Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions. Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This position may require travel to various project sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance for MEP systems in construction projects, preferably in transportation infrastructure.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and documentation abilities, proficiency in quality control software and tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in quality assurance and MEP systems are preferred
    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 12 months
    Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and tests of MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure all MEP systems meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Coordination: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential quality issues and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to team members on quality assurance processes and best practices.
