JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in high-rise building projects within the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) cost estimation, budgeting, procurement, and post-contract commercial management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of UAE experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in high-rise building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and methods used in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC and local contract forms.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and Quantity Surveying software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs for MEP works.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations, ensuring cost and scope alignment.
  • Monitor and control project budgets; track variations, claims, and cost implications.
  • Manage cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and design teams for cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations, interim payments, and final accounts.
  • Assess and recommend payment for subcontractor invoices and claims.
  • Maintain updated records of project costs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Review contract documents and highlight potential commercial risks.
  • Provide support in the procurement of MEP materials and subcontract services.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract obligations, and local regulations.
