Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description Role Summary As a Senior Cost Manager for Data Centre Projects with an MEP focus, you will oversee cost planning, budgeting, and commercial management across highly service‑driven and fast‑paced data centre developments. You will lead both pre‑ and post‑contract activities, ensure strong financial governance, and support decision‑making for key building services packages such as electrical and mechanical works. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. Team Leadership & Development Promote a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture. Mentor junior team members and support their growth, especially in areas related to MEP‑intensive projects. Support recruitment and onboarding of new members. Client & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to support smooth project delivery. Build strong relationships through clear communication and timely follow‑ups. Help manage challenges or issues by proposing practical and commercially sound solutions. Facilitate structured meetings, reporting, and documentation. Project Strategy & Planning Review project requirements and cost expectations, providing insights on cost‑effective solutions. Help develop cost plans and estimates for key building services and general construction works. Support procurement strategies, especially for major building services and equipment. Project Controls & Reporting Serve as Commission Manager as required, overseeing full cost management delivery. Lead pre‑contract activities including estimates, tender reviews, and cost plans. Lead post‑contract activities including monthly cost reporting, change management, and cashflow updates. Support value engineering efforts and cost‑saving initiatives related to building services and overall project delivery. Ensure cost and financial controls align with project schedules and risk plans. Financial & Risk Management Support commercial negotiations related to building services and general construction packages. Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with internal processes. Oversee invoicing workflows in D‑365, including: Reviewing invoice data for accuracy Coordinating with finance teams Monitoring approvals and resolving issues Ensuring alignment with client billing requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 7 years’ experience in cost management or construction projects, with exposure to MEP or service‑heavy environments (e.g., data centres, industrial, commercial buildings). Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills. Comfortable working in client‑facing roles that require advisory skills and sound commercial judgement. Proficiency with CostX or similar cost estimation software. Business‑level English and native proficiency in the local language.
