With exposure to large-scale projects end-to-end, you can develop quickly and build a career pathway that suits your goals The opportunity We are seeking an experienced MEP Services Manager to take ownership of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) delivery on a major data centre construction project in Melbourne. You will lead the planning, coordination and execution of building services works and ensure a safe, high-quality delivery from early works and design coordination through to testing, commissioning and operational handover This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex interface challenges, driving disciplined planning, and building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and commissioning stakeholders. Key responsibilities · Lead end-to-end MEP services delivery and project-wide technical lead across design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation. Stakeholder management including Clients, Consultants, MEP subcontractors, Commissioning teams and specialist vendors to achieve program, quality, safety, and commercial targets. Coordinate interfaces across CSA, fit-out, ICT/ELV, fire systems, BMS, and critical infrastructure to reduce rework and improve readiness for commissioning. Drive completion and handover discipline including ITPs, test packs, asset data, O&M manuals, training, defects, and seasonal commissioning planning. Partner with the project team on risk, methodology, sequencing, and constructability, ensuring works comply with standards and project requirements. Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure all services works are planned and executed safely. About You Proven experience leading MEP delivery on large, complex construction projects (data centres, hospitals, commercial towers, infrastructure, or similarly services-intensive builds). Strong working knowledge of services delivery and commissioning readiness, including managing interfaces and staged handover. Ability to lead subcontractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, and drive outcomes through structured planning and communication. Sound commercial awareness (progress, variations, claims support) and quality mindset (ITPs, inspections, compliance, documentation). Relevant trade, engineering or building qualifications (electrical/mechanical), or equivalent experience. Ability to effectively communicate between the technical and practical requirements of a project. Why join UGL?
