The purpose of this position is to provide effective technical support to the maintenance team responsible for all aspects of Mechanical, electrical, Plumbing & LTE related engineering and maintenance works within the premises of KM Dubai Metro.

KEY SKILLS

• Possess good communication skills and the ability to communicate with landlord, persons responsible for a Track Possession, Worksite or movements of rail vehicles within a Possession etc.
• Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, assist in preparing work methodologies and related documents as required
• Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, Ability to multitask and analyse situation promptly to handle priorities
• Establishing, supervising and implementing a safe system of work to protect the safety of persons working on Dubai metro
• Must obtain qualification as Line-Person-In-Charge.
• Highly motivated and flexibility to work in a time-sensitive environment to respond quickly and effectively to unanticipated high workloads, events and emergencies;

EXPERIENCE

• Work experience as a Mechanical & Electrical Technician working in maintaining Mechanical, electrical, Plumbing & LTE assets covering Tunnel ventilation System (TVS), Low Voltage System (LV), Environmental Control System/ Building Management System (ECS), Fire Detection/Suppression (FPS), Ventilation & Air-conditioning (VAC), Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), Lifts, Travelators and Escalators (LTE), Diesel Generators (DG), Station Sliding Doors (SLD), Roller Shutter Doors (RSD), Plumbing and Dewatering systems (DPS), Smoke curtain, Hoist, Parking Guidance system (PGS), barrier etc.
• Preferably supervisory experience in supervising a team of Mechanical & Electrical Technicians to carry out the maintenance activities.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFCATION

• Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical or mechanical discipline or equivalent;

• Collaborate with the MEP Assistant auditor and perform Asset / contractor inspections for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & LTE assets covering Tunnel ventilation System (TVS), Low Voltage System (LV), Environmental Control System/ Building Management System (ECS), Fire Detection/Suppression (FPS), Ventilation & Air-conditioning (VAC), Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS), Lifts, Travelators and Escalators (LTE), Diesel Generators (DG), Station Sliding Doors (SLD), Roller Shutter Doors (RSD), Plumbing and Dewatering systems (DPS), Smoke curtain, Hoist, Parking Guidance system (PGS), barrier etc. within Dubai Metro Premises
• Plan and implement Mechanical, electrical, Plumbing & LTE asset inspection, review and maintain inspection records and provide technical reports to MEP Engineer.
• Plan and implement SLA - Contractor preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance performance checks, provide recommendation for asset and performance improvements
• Provide technical guidance and support to SLA contractors performing PM/CM activities as per business requirements
• Check that Contractor is following relevant procedures and work instructions and ensure compliance with the business requirements;
• Assist the MEP Engineer and/or other technical support staff during safety incidents, P1/P2 faults and emergencies. Take a lead and diagnose cause of Electrical/ mechanical malfunction or failure of equipment’s
• Assist other department within the KM organization, RTA, Retail or 3rd party inspections /support as per business requirement
• Report any safety occurrences or incidents to their engineer or manager on timely basis
• Assist and support in conducting disciplinary and grievance meetings for MEP assistant auditors
• Ensure that SLA contractors are maintaining PM /CM records including PM check list of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, LTE assets and documents are available for audit purpose.
• Ensure that contractor is using appropriate maintenance tools & equipment during PM/CM;
• Assist subordinates with the job familiarization, maintain proactive behaviour towards maintaining work related knowledge and competencies
• Conduct performance review for MEP Assistant Auditor
• Drive work vehicles when responding to emergencies and when required on duty;
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required;
• Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the mechanical, electrical Contract Managers and MEP Engineers.
