Job Description: Mercedes Workshop Manager
Position Overview
The Mercedes Workshop Manager will oversee the operations of a dedicated Mercedes-Benz automotive workshop, ensuring all repairs and services meet the highest technical and brand standards. The role requires extensive hands-on technical knowledge of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workshop Operations:
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the workshop.
Allocate jobs to technicians, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
Oversee the maintenance of tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems in the workshop.
2. Technical Expertise:
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet Mercedes-Benz quality standards.
Stay updated with the latest technical developments, tools, and best practices for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
3. Team Management:
Lead, train, and mentor a team of technicians to maintain high performance.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure ongoing skill development.
Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious workshop environment.
4. Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure seamless communication with customers regarding service requirements and updates.
Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering outstanding service.
5. Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with Mercedes-Benz service guidelines and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of service and repair jobs.
Prepare and submit operational and financial reports to management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or certification in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on technical experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles; prior workshop management experience is preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in diagnosing and repairing Mercedes-Benz vehicles using diagnostic tools and software.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, train, and lead a team of technicians.
Customer Service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
Certifications: Mercedes-Benz-specific training or certifications are highly desirable.
