The salary range for this position is $79,900 - $99,900 per year. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and San Francisco location. POSITION SUMMARY As a Merchandise Planner, you will execute strategic planning and analysis, forecasting, and inventory management. This role involves in-depth analysis of sales data and market trends to inform both bottoms-up and tops-down forecasting processes. Success requires a collaborative approach, working closely with Brand Management and Supply Chain teams to implement and refine merchandising plans that meet customer demand and achieve business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES * Support Planning Manager with overall Brand strategy and execution through rigorous pre-season & in-season sales and inventory management * Analyze market trends and evaluate historical sales data to inform forecasts and optimize plans for new product launches * Utilize both bottoms-up and tops-down approaches to predict future sales demand * Continuously monitor actual sales data and evaluate forecasts as needed to improve accuracy * Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams and cross-channel teams * Work closely with Brand Management to understand product strategies, marketing campaigns, and product launches * Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to proactively communicate forecast changes and their impact on inventory availability * Prepare and distribute reports to cross-functional teams, providing insights into business performance, forecast accuracy, and key decision-making data * Maintain all essential regional planning tools and files that support the global planning process * Attend meetings with various departments to share insights and coordinate activities * Supports Planning Manager in department activities & meeting preparation * Additional projects and ad hoc requests as needed REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 3+ years planning experience; wholesale experience a plus * BA, BS or equivalent experience preferred * Understanding of retail math (Comp., Margin, etc.) and how to influence metrics * Proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities * Strong presentation and written communication skills. * Attention to detail * Ability to work in fast-paced, often-changing environment. * Ability to work independently as well as with cross functional teams * Flexible with team-player mindset * Availability to attend conference calls with international markets (early mornings/later evenings) when needed
