Chatham Kent Liquidation is a growing discount retailer offering quality products at affordable prices. We are looking to hire two associates with an emphasis on merchandising /cashier at 16 hours per week each, with the possibility of additional shifts as they become available. Work schedule days can range from Sunday through Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm.
We will be opening a second store in Blenheim and one new employee will be for that location and the second employee will be hired for the Chatham store. All training will be at the Chatham location and the employee must have reliable transportation.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends
• Ability to use POS systems; training will be provided
• Creating a welcoming environment by greeting all customers as they walk through the doors
• Providing excellent customer service by ensuring the customer takes priority
• Assessing customers’ needs to be able to provide information and assistance about products and services
• Being knowledgeable to answer questions regarding products, promotions and sales
• Keeping all customers’ personal information such as addresses, credit card info and all our suppliers’ details and pricing confidential
• Ensuring the pricing on products is up to date, creating and changing labels as required
• Maintaining presentable visual merchandising by keeping displays in order
• Inspect and test items for proper function and assess conditions
• Assist in receiving stock
• Processing new inventory
• Assist in the organization of the stockroom and providing a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that inspires customers to shop
• Housekeeping and cleaning duties include but not limited to dusting, cleaning bathroom, vacuuming, and removing trash
• Being able to work independently and as a team with other co-workers
• Following company policy and procedures
• Maintaining professional dress and attitude at all times
• Other duties as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (WITH REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION)

• Able to pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures and move packages weighing up to 50lb (with assistance)
• Able to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, etc.
