Merchandiser - Development  To be based at Biyagama  Silueta (Pvt) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of MAS Holdings, specializes in no-sew bonding technology and advanced thermal moulding capabilities. With operations in Sri Lanka and additional facilities in India and Indonesia, Silueta supports a diversified workforce and continues to expand its global footprint to meet evolving market needs. Silueta provides seamless, high-performance designs for categories such as intimate wear and sportswear, offering premium apparel solutions crafted for both comfort and performance. Looking for a dynamic individual to effectively handle a portfolio of customers from the receipt of inquiries/orders to the transfer of orders to manufacturing units in order to meet business objectives such as customer contentment and retention, through high levels of service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  * Coordinate and facilitate the development, completion and dispatch of all development, fit and marketing related samples through Service Excellence with a pro-active approach, timeliness and accuracy of communication and effective problem solving within stipulated time frames to meet requirements * Negotiate price and finalisation with customer through effective garment cost engineering and resourceful approach in keeping with customer expectations in order to meet company business objectives      * Initiate sourcing of raw materials and negotiate terms such as price, delivery etc. in order to optimize benefits, in line with customer expectations, to secure the order  * Follow-up with suppliers to ensure that raw materials are approved for timely execution of marketing samples in-line with customer requirements * Communicate with the manufacturing unit in order to provide information for procurement of bulk fabric, trims etc. * Prepare time and action calendars for bulk order processing and monitor progress of order throughout the production process and coordinate with customers and business units to resolve manufacturing issues * Finalize/Maintain accurate records and update relevant parties on the following in order to facilitate ease of reference and recall: * Obtain customer requirements in terms of compliance and quality and communicate the same to the factory and thereby facilitate factory approvals for customers * Carry-out market research on market trends, competitive environment, new developments in the sector etc, and provide information to the management to facilitate business decisions   KEY QUALIFICATIONS       * Completed degree in Business Management, Marketing or a similar field  * Following a qualification in CIM or CIMA would be an added advantage  * Minimum 1 year of work experience in front-end merchandising with exposure in development and order processing cycles * Good communication skills in English  * Exposure in SAP ERP system would be an added advantage
Responsibilities
