We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to ensure that all activities from the receipt of the ‘Proto request’ until the buy process is carried out in an effective manner in order to achieve the sales budgets thereby, meeting business objectives and customer satisfaction through high service levels, maximizing sales revenue KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Identify respective styles and volumes on receipt of the buy and carryout buy processing activities, forwarding details to relevant parties whilst updating information into the PLM system in a timely/ accurate manner. * Engage in the reporting process as and when required in order to facilitate the transfer of information to relevant parties (including the customer) whilst also, facilitating Management decision making * Participate at the Development meetings upon receipt of the proto kit, and forward information to relevant parties whilst ensuring raw materials are available in house in order to deliver the protos and embellishment developments to the customer in a timely manner. * Prepare costing sheets, negotiate pricing terms, lead times and minimum production quantities whilst coordinating with relevant parties until the costing is finalized. * Process the Salesman Sample (SS) on receipt of the SS from Customer whilst, updating relevant information into the PLM system in a timely and accurate manner in order to facilitate the effective completion of SS samples * Liaise with Product Development Centre (PDC), Embellishment, Planning and Sourcing teams once the make plan is available, in order to ensure styles are ready for the next buy, by obtaining approval for fit, costing, embellishment etc. whilst, ensuring the completion of all relevant documentation KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Degree in relevant field or CIM as an equivalent professional qualification * 2 -3 years’ experience in Merchandising or a similar role * Knowledge of fabrics, embellishments, styles, samples * IT literacy

Responsibilities

The role ensures all activities from receiving a 'Proto request' through the buy process are executed effectively to meet sales budgets and business objectives. Key duties involve managing style and volume identification, processing buys, generating reports, participating in development meetings, and finalizing costing details.
