Description General Purpose Increase sales by assisting in the development and implementation of strategies for displaying, publicizing and promoting the products Matesich Distributing Co. distributes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform external merchandising responsibilities Visit accounts and develop rapport with the customer Assemble and display all supplier-branded Point of Contact Material (POCM) Create and build product displays Assist with product/shelf resets Rotate product in accounts Execute assigned surveys Assist with price changes on Point of Sale (POS) tags/cards Identify other merchandising/sales opportunities with accounts and follow up Provide assistance and back-up coverage for the Sales Team Vacations Market visits with Sales Delivery Associates Respond to after-hour customer assistance calls Special Events · Assist with the planning and coordination of special events · Assist with the delivery and set-up of equipment and products · Work at the event to provide customer support and service · Clean up after the event Graphics Assist Sales & Marketing Assistant in creating sale and special event banners, cooler stickers, table tents, signs, etc. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Desired Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to communicate effectively via phone and in-person Basic PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to utilize e-mail Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, defined as having no more than two (2) moving violations or two (2) accidents or a distracted driving violation in the past three (3) years or no major violations in past 4 years Ability to take directions from members of the sales team and prioritize tasks accordingly Ability to positively interact with others, both internally and in the market Responsibility for Public Contact Daily contact requiring courtesy and professionalism Tool and Equipment Used Cordless Drill Power Miter Saw, Hammer Drill, Circular Saw, Staple Gun, Hammer, PC, Eagle Jet Printer, Copier Machine, Phone, Ladder, Motor Vehicle Physical Demands Work is performed in a variety of locations both indoors and outdoors with varying temperatures. This position requires sight, hearing, speech, frequent standing and walking, hand and finger dexterity, the ability to climb and work while on a ladder and drive a motor vehicle. It also requires the ability to be able to maneuver up to 170 lbs, with or without the assistance of a wheeler.

Responsibilities

The primary role involves increasing sales by executing merchandising strategies, which includes visiting accounts, assembling displays, building product presentations, and rotating stock. This position also requires assisting the Sales Team, responding to after-hour customer calls, and supporting special events and graphics creation.
