Are you a detail-driven merchandiser seeking a new opportunity? Do you thrive in a collaborative retail environment and enjoy using data to influence product performance?
A fixed-term contract opportunity has arisen for a Merchandiser to provide maternity cover within a multi-brand retail team focused on catalogue and online sales. Supporting two key product areas, this role offers the chance to make an impact through detailed forecasting, range planning and stock optimisation. You’ll work closely with buyers, supply chain and finance teams to drive trading decisions and product availability across key seasons.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract, working 35 hours per week. Based in Swindon, the role requires one day per week in the office and the remainder worked remotely. The role comes with flexible hours and a supportive, positive team culture.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in a merchandising role, ideally within retail, catalogue or eCommerce.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a commercial mindset.
  • Proficiency in forecasting, range planning and managing stock availability.
  • Confident using merchandising systems and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Able to work collaboratively with buying, supply chain and finance teams.
  • Catalogue and web merchandising experience is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Analyse seasonal performance and produce detailed forecasts to support range planning.
  • Manage open-to-buy (OTB), forecasting and stock control across Bloom and Gift Discoveries product areas.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and fulfilment partners to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Attend weekly trading meetings and contribute to product selection decisions.
  • Maintain accurate product and pricing information in internal systems.
  • Develop stock clearance plans and monitor KPIs to optimise stock levels and sales.
