We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to facilitate the sourcing of Raw Material for allocated customer orders and ensure that the correct quantity of raw materials are in-house in a timely manner in order to facilitate the production process thereby, ensuring 100% completion of orders KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Negotiate delivery terms with the suppliers to ensure raw materials are only in-house when required to control raw material in-house dates * Arrange inspection of fabric at the supplier’s premises to ensure all quality aspects are met * Follow-up with suppliers until the materials are in-house whilst, liaising with the planning section to prioritize delivery dates where required * Coordinate with the Commercial team in order to ensure all raw material required for the production process is forwarded to the relevant factories accurately and on time * Liaise with relevant factory personnel/ suppliers on material received, and re-order material as and when required whilst, monitoring material consumption up to the order completion stage in order to ensure required quantity & quality of raw materials are available * Ensure that relevant raw material is sourced for the production process by performing activities such as the following in a timely manner in order to facilitate accurate completion of customer orders KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Diploma / Degree in relevant field or CIM as an equivalent professional qualification * 1-2 years’ experience in Merchandising or a similar role * Knowledge on MS Office Packages * Knowledge of Supply Chain

Responsibilities

The Merchandiser is responsible for facilitating the sourcing of raw materials to ensure timely in-house delivery for production orders. They must negotiate supplier terms, coordinate quality inspections, and monitor material consumption to ensure 100% order completion.
