The Merchandising Manager is an integral leadership role within the Freson Bros. Barrhead, Alberta store and Freson Bros. company. Our merchandisers are our visual leaders who showcase artistic talent by creating ‘Xciting Promotions and beautiful displays throughout the store while working closely with vendors to find unique items to showcase.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive Merchandising experience
  • A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a retail environment
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for leading and developing others
  • Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
  • Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (evenings, weekends and holidays)
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
