Job Description Following the successful opening of our initial stores in Shanghai and Beijing, as well as our eCommerce business on Tmall and JD.com, Vuori is beginning to build our Merchandising team on the ground in China. We are currently seeking a Merchandising Manager, the first role in Merchandising in market, to join our collaborative team who will play a pivotal role in the expansion in the Greater China market. This role will work closely with international merchandising and planning team that based in global HQ, and stakeholders across different departments. What you'll get to do: Create and manage preseason strategies & line architecture to drive DTC channels growth, margin and inventory that support product and business goals, incorporating market specific nuances Adopt and assort for China market, working with planning on the seasonal OTB buy plan. Monitor performance, identify opportunities and actions. In-season management - provide input on execution, work with regional planning to deliver financial targets. In-region promo and markdown decision within global guidelines Manage China pricing with global guidelines Provide Geo Insights and product brief to global teams to support a distinctive assortment. Be strong representative in Product org, provide feedback on prototypes, based on consumer feedback / local needs, drive regional relevance in product line. Participate in key milestone meetings and develop strong relationship with cross-functional partners internally Partner with cross functional partners such as marketing, VM to ensure assortment represent brand and business needs Expertise in competitive landscaping and benchmarking. Monitor and code consumer demand trends, using insights to shape planning and assortment decisions Identify and implement tools and processes that improve Merchandising efficiency Qualifications Who you are: 7+ years' experience solid merchandising and buying experience in apparel sector Holds a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Strong market and category trend awareness, able to develop and influence the product range and deliver the best assortment to China Strong analytical skills and commercial sense Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment High attention to detail; ability to juggle many priorities and manage execution. Fluent in oral & written English and Mandarin. Strong communicator Flexibility to participate in calls outside regular business hours as needed to collaborate with global stakeholders.
